DAY 6
 As
all good things must come to an end,
we
checked out from Royal Plaza Hotel and
proceeded to Allenby bridge and crossed over to Jordan. To take in a little
bit of the history on this side of the River Jordan, we visited Mount Nebo, which is 850 meters above sea level. From the
top of this mountain we had a
view of the ‘land of milk and honey’ perhaps standing at the very same spot
that Moses did when he was asked by the “I AM” to go up the mountain (Duet
32:49, 34:1-5). Down in a valley to the east of this mountain,
we can see the place
where it is said that Moses hit the rock with his
stick to produce water for his people. A huge symbol of the brass snake is
also erected on top of the mountain. We can see
Jordan, the Dead Sea, Jericho, Mount Hermon etc. from this high mountain and
this place is important for Christians, Muslims as well as Jews.

After lunch at Madaba we proceeded to Amman airport to return to our homes. The
Lord’s Grace was with each one of us throughout this trip. He came to give
us Eternal Life. He shed His Blood on Calvary for us. We went; we saw and
came away blessed. We are sure that all of us returned with a humbling
perspective on life and will live to bear witness to this fact. It was a
blessed trip, and we are thankful to God Almighty, who has gave us this
opportunity to visit the
Holy
Land. It has left its mark on our lives. ALLELUIA!
A WORD OF APPRECIATION ABOUT OUR GUIDES
During
this tour, The
Lord gave us a wonderful gift package in the form of our guide Mr. Joseph.
He spent
the first five days with us
giving detailed information about every place being visited and its
biblical relevance. He was more like a member of the group and was liked by
all. Our sincere gratitude to him was demonstrated by Mr. George who, on our
behalf, gave an eloquent vote of thanks to him. We said good bye to him at Alanby
bridge. Across the border, we were welcomed by Mr. Naeem. He gave us as much
information as he could about Jordan in general and mount Nebo in particular
during our short stay there.
